Les Rousses is a small ski resort in the Haut Jura region on the Frace-Switzerland border with 48km of Pistes. There is dedicated motorhome parking at the bottom of the Balancier chairlift with a Flot Bleu terminal for fresh water and waste discharge.

Valloire

The Valloire ski area is linked to Valmeinier and offers 150km of pistes. There is a serviced & barrier controlled Aire at the bottom of the Les Verneys chairlift that costs around 13 Euro per night and includes water/waste/power/WiFi. (There is a power connection for each spot, limited to 6 Amps)

La Clusaz

Just outside the resort of La Clusaz is a large free car park at the bottom of the Frenuy and La Balme gondolas, there are no facilities for servicing a motorhome here (apart from a toilet located at the gondola station, which is locked at night) but if you are carrying enough supplies for a couple of days it is a good stop off to explore the ski area.

Alpe d’Huez is a high resort across the valley from Les Duex Alpes, it is a lively modern resort offering a good variety of skiing for all abilities, and is also linked to Auris-en-Oisans, La Garde, Le Freney d’Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany and Villard-Reculas.

A Hidden Gem?

Located on the far west side of the large Paradiski ski area is the village of Montalbert. At the top of the village is a large car park with a ‘Euro Relais’ motorhome service area for fresh, grey and black water.

Les Saises is a resort in the Espace Diamant ski area located in the Northern Alps.

It offers plenty of variety being linked to Praz sur Arly, Flumet, Notre Dame de Bellecombe, Crest-Voland and Hauteluce.

Saas Fee

Saas Fee in Switzerland is a car free resort BUT…

Behind the main parking structure on the way into the resort is a decent sized Aire with views down the valley. There is a barrier on entry and you pay for parking at the machines in the parking structure – just as if you were leaving a car there.

Samoens

At the Saix ski lift in Samoens is an official Motorhome Aire – though there are no facilities. There is however a campsite a few kilometers away at the bottom of the Grand Massif Express gondola, at the entrance of this campsite is a Flot Bleu where you can take on fresh water and empty waste.

In the pretty village of La Thuile there is a large serviced riverside motorhome aire a short walk from the bottom of the ‘Les Suches’ and ‘Bosco Express’ lifts.

Les Gets

There is motorhome parking right at the bottom of the ‘des Perrieres’ chairlift in Les Gets, with a Flot Bleu for taking on fresh water and dumping grey/black water situated at the main entrance to the car park.
